CEO and co-founder Kevin Dahl will be representing NexGoal and rembrand’s Trilogy Mentor Program at the National Basketball Retired Players Association’s Legends World Sports Conference in South Florida this weekend. The three-day annual retreat is for former members of the NBA, ABA, Harlem Globetrotters, and WNBA alumni to learn, network, and unite in community service.
The retreat offers a chance for the NBRPA members to attend several workshop sessions covering topics such as jobs in sports, finance, career transition, continuing education, professional speaking and broadcasting, social media, health & wellness, networking, franchise opportunities, and more.
“Our partnership with PAFI has presented this great opportunity,” said Dahl, “to meet with this unique alumni base, in both a professional and social setting. I’m looking forward to speaking at the retreat and reaching out to more former professional athletes. This chance to share our story and our business model is another opportunity to expand our network and our business.”
The NBRPA is expecting over 200 alumni in attendance. For more information, you can visit their website at www.legendsofbasketball.com.
NexGoal will once again join fellow charter members, current and retired professional athletes for the Professional Athlete Franchise Initiative‘s Franchise Summit. This educational event, set for July 14-17 at Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business, is an opportunity to learn about and network within the franchise community.
Kevin Dahl, co-founder and CEO of NexGoal, will join one of the panel discussions, “Understanding the FDD“ on July 15. As a former athlete and franchise owner, Dahl will be able to share his experience growing his franchise business and advise fellow athletes on the journey they will face.
“I’m very excited to participate on the PAFI panel in this area of franchising,” said Dahl. “This summit is a great event to educate athletes on the professional opportunities that the franchise world has to offer for athletes.”
According to PAFI, the Summit is designed to introduce professional athletes to the basic architecture of the franchise industry. During this multi-day conference participants learn the ins and outs of becoming a franchisee. This year, PAFI is launching more advanced learning sessions for athletes that are already in the business, focusing more on exposing athlete wealth and business managers in to the value that the franchise model provides.
This year’s summit will include:
- Franchise expo
- Advance athlete franchisee sessions
- Athlete and franchisor joint sessions
- Interactive team building sessions
- In-store operational tours
- Networking mixers and receptions
“Athletes are perfect at following a game plan like the plan franchisors lay out,” Dahl added. “As NexGoal continues to expand, our business model is an alternative franchise that fellow athletes can succeed at and become involved first-hand in their own business.”

NexGoal’s Kevin Dahl and Brad Mullins returned from the 53rd International Franchising Association’s annual conference in Las Vegas, NV with some new connections and more information as they continue their entrepreneurial efforts.
“The IFA was a fantastic resource of information and experiences that Kevin and I can use in building the NexGoal International franchise operation,” said Mullins. “Kevin sat on a panel of former professional athletes and did a great job of explaining our franchise opportunity to the audience. All the attendees were very friendly and willing to share their experiences with us on starting their franchise business. Kevin and I both left the show with some great new insight to the franchise business, new ideas and new friends.”
“The IFA convention was an informative, well-run event,” added Dahl. “We attended several sessions relating to growing NexGoal, including a new franchisor orientation. The roundtable sessions on franchise brokers, marketing franchises, and the use of Discovery Days were timely as we work towards expanding NexGoal in the near future.”
