Dahl To Speak At NHL Alumni Symposium
NexGoal co-founder Kevin Dahl will be one of the speakers at the September 23, 2014 NHL Alumni BreakAway Career and Education Symposium in Toronto, held in conjunction with the NHL Alumni Gala Awards Dinner, presented by Scotiabank.
The NHLA BreakAway Career and Education Symposium held the following day, will feature a slate of speakers as part of the association’s Life After Hockey “Career Transition Program.” In addition to Kevin Dahl (who will be presenting with PAFI’s Michael Stone), speakers will include:
- Charles Falzon (Director of RTA School)
- Marla Spergel
- Cindy Novak (CL Network)
- Buffy Flippell
- Jim Treliving (Boston Pizza, Dragon’s Den)
- Jaia Thomas (ENTmagazine, UPTOWN magazine)
- Richard Strombach
- Christopher Doyle (Twitter)
“I’m looking forward to sharing my franchising story with the rest of the NHL Alumni,” said Dahl. “This is a great opportunity to show that an alternative to starting a business from scratch is the support of franchising and great associations like PAFI.”
Each year the NHL Alumni Association recognizes stars from the past and present, and those who have made contributions to hockey on and off the ice. This year, the honorees include Brian Trottier (Man of the Year), Walter Gretzky (Keith McCreary 7th Man Award), and Mark Mannarn (Ace Bailey Award of Courage).
