The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that 192,000 jobs were added in March and that unemployment remained unchanged at 6.7%.
The industries that saw the biggest gains were led by Business Services, with the addition 57,000 additional posts. The Health Care and Construction fields each added 19,000. Those numbers are reflected on the NexGoal job board, where we’ve been working with our corporate clients to find the top athlete-candidates to fill those additional roles.
For the first time in four years, more people found jobs than dropped out of the workforce. Unemployment should lower if the hiring rate – averaging almost 200,000 jobs per month – continues.
